Oct-20 [Central Lib] <Important> [For NU members] Changes in some Central Library Services

From Oct. 20th (Wed), some facilities of the Central Library are available.

 
The Central Library will provide the services as follows.


Depending on the situation, there is a possibility that the contents of the services will be changed at any time in accordance with changes in the activity policy level established by Nagoya University.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Nagoya University members (students, faculty and staff members)

 * However, please refrain from entering if you have any subjective symptoms such as fever.

 * In order to prevent infection, please wear a mask, and use disinfectant when entering the building.
       We really encourage frequent hand washing, and practice social distance.

 

Opening hours  [No changes]

Saturdays, Sundays and National holidays: 8:45 - 22:00

Please use the automatic borrowing machine to complete the borrowing procedures (except items that not apply to the machine).

Reading seats and facilities  [Updated]

  • Please remember to keep a distance at least 1 m from each other and wear a mask, when you have a discussion or group learning in the Learning Commons.
  • Please use the reading seat and PC seat away from other users.
  • Please use OA cleaner to remove visuses.
  • You can use your personal laptop for talking (such as attending online class) on the 2nd floor and in the Learning Pods of 3rd floor.
  • Please write down your name, starting time and leaving time when you use reading seat and PC seat.

    Reception hours:

     Weekdays; 9:00 - 22:00 

     Saturdays, Sundays and National holidays: 8:45 - 22:00

     * Reception at the counter 8:30 - 16:45 on weekdays. Please apply to complete your payment in time.

     * The reception time for copying documents at private expense, which requires a receipt: 8:30 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 16:45 on weekdays.
          Please apply to complete your payment in time.

     

    Interlibrary Loan (ILL)  [No changes]

    Interlibrary Loan (ILL) can be applied through web as usual.

    Please complete the picking up / returning procedures, or reading the materials for in-library use only from the opening time to 30 minutes before closing.

     * If it is difficult for the recipient to visit the library, copies of the documents can be received by the Central Library’s “Borrowing and Delivery" service.
          The destination is expanded to Japan as a whole.

    Face-to-face Workshops cannot be held for the time being, but we will hold Online Guidances.

    We have a number of on-demand Guidances on NUCT, and we are also planning to hold live online training sessions via web conferencing tools.
