From Dec. 1st, 2020 (Tue.), the Central Library will be open from 8:00 am on weekdays.
The Central Library will provide the library services as follows.
Depending on the situation, there is a possibility that the contents of the services will be changed at any time in accordance with changes in the activity policy level established by Nagoya University.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Admission
Nagoya University members (students, faculty and staff members)
* However, please refrain from entering if you have any subjective symptoms such as fever.
* In order to prevent infection, please wear a mask, use disinfectant when entering the building. We really encourage frequent hand washing, and practice social distance.

Weekdays: 8:00 - 22:00
Saturdays, Sundays and National holidays: 8:45 - 22:00
Counter Response
The library staff will be there. Please ring the chime if to call the staff.
Borrowing
As usual.
Borrowing procedure
Please use the automatic borrowing machine to complete the borrowing procedures (except items that not apply to the machine).

Returning
Please return the items as usual by the due date.
* If it is difficult to visit the library by the due date, please pack the book tightly and send it to the library with a delivery status record. You will be responsible for the returning fee.

Individual seats and facilities
Facilities for group study and discussion are not available (excluding classes).
Please keep a social distance while using the individual seats or PC seats.
At the designated reading seats in the group learning area on the 2nd floor, you can use your own PC for online classes.
* When using the reading seat or PC seat, please record the name of the seat and the start and end time of using.
Reference service

Consultation at the counter is also possible.
Study consultation
Face-to-face learning consultation: No advance reservation required
On weekdays; 15:00 - 19:00
* Consultation is limited to 30 minutes.
* Please wear a mask.
* Unless you need to operate the installed equipment, we will consult with you at the desk.
Learning consultation Zoom: Reservation required
On weekdays; 15:30-17:00
* Please apply by 12:00 the day before (weekdays).

“Question box” is also settled in front of the Support Desk on the 2nd floor. The graduate student staffs will answer and post the questions. Please use the “question box” as much as possible.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) can be applied through web as usual.
Please complete the picking up / returning procedures, or reading the materials for in-library use only from the opening time to 30 minutes before closing.
* If it is difficult for the recipient to visit the library, copies of the documents can be received by the Central Library’s “Borrowing and Delivery" service. Face-to-face Workshops cannot be held for the time being, but we will hold Online Guidances.
We have a number of on-demand Guidances on NUCT, and we are also planning to hold live online training sessions via web conferencing tools.
