Dec-08 [News] <Warning> Large volume access using pre-read browser functions
If the "pre-read" function of your web browser is used while using e-journals, e-books, or databases, it may be considered a mass download and the access to the service from entire campus of Nagoya University may be suspended by the provider.

We request your cooperation in disabling these functions by making the below changes to your browser settings.
■How to set up each browser■
Microsoft Edge *Chromium doesn't have a pre-read function.
Settings > Privacy and Security > Set "Use page prediction to speed up browsing and improve reading view" to off.
Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data > Set "Preload pages for faster browsing and searching" to off
Google Chrome
Settings > Performance > Set "Preload pages for faster browsing and searching" to off
FireFox
Type “about:config” in the URL bar and press Enter.
If the “Proceed with Caution” warning is displayed, click "Accept the Risk and Continue”.
Type "network.prefetch-next" in the search bar.
On the configuration screen double-click "network.prefetch-next" and set to "false."
Safari (Mac)
Open “Settings” from the Safari menu bar.
On the “Search” tab uncheck “Preload Top Hit in the Background”
Safari (iOS)
Settings>「Safari」>Tab uncheck “Preload Top Hit in the Background”
*If you are using browsers other than those above, please check the manual for your browser and turn off the preload function accordingly.
