Mar-06rev. [E-Services / Maintenance] Change of authentication IDs for off-campus access to e-resources and OPAC (14 March)

From 14 March 2023, the authentication ID for the authentication system used in the library (e.g., for off-campus access to e-resources and OPAC) will be changed from the current Nagoya University ID to a THERS account.
Due to maintenance for the switchover, there will be system outages and unstable operation from 9:00 to around 13:00 on March 14.
Emeritus professors are required to apply in advance to the Information and Communications to obtain an account.
It may take more than two weeks for an account to be issued, so please apply as soon as possible.

<Target>

• Remote Access : Off Campus Web Services
• OPAC (for user services requiring login, such as checking user status, making reservations, requesting copies and loans, etc.)

<Period>

• 14 March, 2023
  * Service will be suspended for maintenance in the morning of the day.

<Changes>

• If you have been using a Nagoya University ID and password as your authentication ID and password, they will be changed to a THERS account and password.
• The multi-factor authentication method will also be the same as when using a THERS account.

<Advance preparation>

• Currently enrolled students and faculty members can obtain a THERS account using their Nagoya University ID.
• Even if you have an Nagoya University ID, you need to apply separately if you are a professor emeritus. It may take more than two weeks for a new account to be issued, so please apply as soon as possible.
• At the time of the switchover, multi-factor authentication will still be used for authentication. If you are already using the authentication application in Office365, you can continue to use it. If you are using it for the first time, please refer to the following link for more details.
