Jun-24 [News] Digital archive has been renewed

In conjunction with the establishment of the "Tokai National Higher Education and Research System Academic Digital Archive," the digital archives of the affiliated libraries have been integrated and renewed.

As part of the basic plan for the "Digital University Concept" put forward by the Tokai National Higher Education and Research System, the "Tokai National Higher Education and Research System Academic Digital Archive" (https://da.adm.thers.ac.jp/en) was launched on June 24th, allowing users to cross-search and use image data from academic resources held by Gifu University and Nagoya University.

Accordingly, the following four databases that were publicly available at Nagoya University Library have been consolidated into the Tokai National Higher Education and Research System Academic Digital Archive and reopened. The URL has also changed, so please update it if you have bookmarked the site.

・Takagi Family Documents Digital Library

・Ito Keisuke Collection

・Digital Library of Western Books

・Kotenseki Descriptive Database

With this renewal, historical documents*1 that bring the texture of old paper back to life in the present day, and image collections*2 that realistically convey the vivid colors of the original documents, are now available on a unified screen.

The library also contains many electronic collections held by the Tokai National Higher Education and Research System, in addition to the materials held by Nagoya University Library, such as collections that allow you to view images of three-dimensional objects such as plant and seaweed specimens. For more details, please see  here (link to the flyer).

The Tokai National Higher Education and Research System Academic Digital Archive will continue to expand its public content with the goal of spreading awareness of Gifu University and Nagoya University by making available a wide range of academic resources, as well as contributing to the further development of academic research activities and the activities of local residents.

We hope you will find it useful.
